Join Aidan Fitzgerald of Candle Boy for a taper-candle making workshop at House of Iris!
Over the course of the evening, Aidan will speak about his creative practice, beeswax as a medium, and teach the basics of making your own taper candles. Participants will then make a pair of 10 inch straight taper candles, as well as a custom pair of taper candles of their own design.

Candle Boy is the work of Toronto-based candle maker Aidan Fitzgerald, who produces hand-dipped tape candles and small batch sculptural pieces from locally sourced beeswax. With a passion for folk art, the work emphasizes natural materials and thoughtful craftsmanship. From classic tapers to playful sculptural forms like his signature sailboats, each piece is created to bring warmth, charm, and character to any space.
