House of Iris
Saturday May 30th 2026, 6PM-9PM
Join us for a cozy, hands-on embroidery workshop where participants will create their own Nonna-inspired pendant lamp.
Participants will begin by learning a few basic embroidery stitches on a sampler card, then move on to customizing their own fabric lampshade through embroidery, trims, and finishing details. Each lamp is made with a 7" wire frame base and a soft draped fabric shade, inspired by vintage handkerchiefs, heirloom linens, and Nonna’s tablecloths.
No previous embroidery experience is required - beginner or experienced stitchers welcome. Participants will leave with a fully finished plug-in pendant lamp, ready to take home, hang, and light up.
And it wouldn't be nonna's table without red wine for all!
WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS
All materials and tools will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring reading glasses or a headlamp if needed for close-up stitching or hard of seeing. Wear comfortable clothing for sitting and stitching.
